As of December, 2016, Indian Visa for Swedish Citizens is no longer available to a Swedish Citizen. There are also new requirements for an Indian Visa for Italian Citizens.
Indian Visa Application Process
The process of applying for an Indian visa from Sweden is relatively simple and can be done entirely online. However, there are a few requirements that must be met before beginning the application process. Indian Visa for Swedish Citizens
First and foremost, all applicants must have a valid passport with at least six months remaining before expiration. In addition, applicants must also have a recent passport-sized photograph as well as proof of residency in Sweden.
Once these requirements have been met, applicants can begin the online application process by creating an account on the official website of the Government of India’s e-Visa facility. From there, applicants will need to fill out all required information and upload the necessary documents.
Once the application has been submitted, applicants will need to pay the visa fee online using a credit or debit card. Once payment has been processed, visas will be emailed to applicants within three business days.
Required Documents
If you are a Swedish citizen and you want to travel to India, you will need to apply for an Indian visa. The requirements for an Indian visa for Swedish citizens are as follows:
-A valid passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and at least 2 blank pages
-A completed and signed visa application form
-A recent passport-size photograph. Indian Visa for Italian Citizens
-Proof of onward/return travel (e.g. flight itinerary, hotel booking confirmation, etc.)
-Proof of sufficient financial means (e.g. bank statement, credit card statement, etc.)
-An invitation letter from a host in India, if applicable

Visiting India as a Swedish Citizen
If you’re a Swedish citizen looking to travel to India, you’ll need to obtain a visa beforehand. Here are the requirements for doing so:

-A letter of invitation from your host in India, if applicable
Once you have all the required documents, you can apply for an Indian visa by mail or in person at the nearest Indian consulate or embassy. The processing time for mailed applications is usually 4-6 weeks, while it’s typically quicker (2-3 weeks) for applications submitted in person.
Visiting India as an Italian Citizen
If you are an Italian citizen planning to visit India, you will need to obtain a visa before your trip. You can apply for a visa by completing an online application form and submitting it to the Indian Embassy or Consulate in Italy.
When applying for a visa, you will need to provide some personal information, as well as information about your travel plans. You will also need to pay a visa fee. Once your application has been processed, you will receive your visa by mail.
It is important to note that your visa must be valid for the entire duration of your stay in India. If you plan to stay longer than the dates indicated on your visa, you will need to apply for an extension at least four weeks prior to your scheduled departure date.
